Goodbye 2015

Farewell to 2015 - it's been a doozy of a year for this family.  We are all looking forward with hearts full of hope for a better 2016.  Wishing well for all of you out there, too. Happy New Year!
Now that the holidays are nearly over, it's time for me to buckle down and get back to my crafting.
Today I did manage to get a birthday card put together for my daughter-in-law whose birthday is in a few days. I've yet to upload the photo to the computer so I can't share.  Here are a few cards I did complete prior to the Christmas holiday.  Enjoy.

Sending out holiday cards

Trying to finish up some last minute cards so I can get them out this holiday season. Try as I may, I'm thinking I will not have enough finished.  My intentions were to be entirely finished by the 10th and oh my, that has come and gone. Our little Jacob has one more week of school so perhaps I can find a few hours to complete the remaining projects.  One of the in progress projects is making a "Peppermint Vodka Liquor"  You can add just an ounce to your hot chocolate to give it a little zing. It's going to be a gift as well as my homemade hot chocolate mix. I love giving hand made items as gifts.

Here are a few more cards that I did complete:

This card was made with supplies from Simon Says Stamp and a Spellbinders die. Die cut is lifted using foam tape and the sequins just add a little bling.

Oh, Christmas Tree, must have one for the holiday. A simple card (no stamping), I used Dazzles stickers from Hot Off the Press and a beautiful background paper.

One of my favorites this year.  The recipient has already expressed her love of the use of "not so" traditional colors for a Christmas card.  Sure made me feel good.

Christmas Decorating

After a wonderful family gathering for Thanksgiving dinner, I came down with a horrible cold that I have been fighting since.  Today I'm finally feeling half human and able to accomplish regular housework. Unfortunately, the craft arena has had to be put on the back burner through this ordeal. We are beginning to feel the Christmas spirit, tho, and played our first Christmas carols while wrapping some early present purchases. Today my display will be a few of the Christmas cards I've completed.

My sentiment today is from Ginger at Ginger's House.  My favorite place to find word art and sentiments for my cards.  Check out her fantastic blog; she's in my list.  There are so many creative people out there who share their talents so generously.
